AMAPOLA SINGS IN MAILE LOUNGE
AMAPOLA, who was voted best female vocalist of the PHilippines last year, will sing
with Berne Hal Mann's band at the Maile Lounge through July 29.
Her records have made the top ten list in the Philippines and she has appeared on
radio, television and in nightclubs in the Orient.
she has made two films in the Philippines and won the Manila Filmfest award for best
singer for her rendition of a movie theme.
Her repertoire includes ballads, soul and pop. She sings not only American tunes but
also Spanish favorites and Filipino folk music. An accomplished musician, she arranges and
composes and plays six musical instruments.
Berne Hal-Mann's band plays music for dancing in the Maile Lounge at the Kahala Hilton
from 8:30 on ti 1am Monday through Thursday on Friday and Saturday until 2 am.

KAHALA HILTON OFFERS "NIGHT AROUND THE WORLD"
A NIGHT AROUND THE WORLD will be the next event in the International Night series at
the kahala Hilton's Holiday Awarded maile Restaurant. The Kahala Hilton willl present
"A Night Around the World" in cooperation with Ruth Rittmeister of International
Travel service and American president Lines from Sunday Aug. 20 through Saturday Aug. 26.
Entertainement will be a potpourri of international songs and dances by performers who
appear on American President Lines cruises. The buffet dinner will feature specialties
from the far corners of the globe. Prizes will include accomodations at vairous Hilton
International hotels.
"A Night Around the World" is $10.00 per person which includes dinner and
entertainment. parking is validated.
The Maile Restaurant opens at 6PM on Sundays, 6:30PM Monday through Saturday. For

where she is singing with Berne Hal-Mann's band. There's good music for listening or
dancing at the Maile Lounge from 8:30 pm Monday through Saturday. There's no cover charge
or minimum in the lounge, which adjoins the Holiday Award Maile Restaurang. Amapola will
be at the lounge through September 30.

EVENT WILL BENEFIT PHILIPPINES
A fashion show-luncheon to benefit the victims of the Philippine floods will be
presented at the Kahala Hilton on Tuesday, August 29, at noon in the Maile Restaurant.
Fashions from McInerny's will include 'round the clock clothes for island living and
traveling. Back-to-schoo. clothes for the teen age set also will be included in the show.
The benefit fashion show-luncheon will be $10.00 per person. Profits will be presented
to Project Tulungan, which is coordinating relief efforts in the Phlippines.
Amapola, one of the Philippines top vocalists, and Berne Hal-Mann's band will entertain
at the luncheon.
